Position Summary/Job Duties: | Job Description/Primary Duties:
Do you love pastries, great bread and coffee? Do you love chatting it up with great customers and making people’s day? Do people call you a hard worker, a team player, and super self motivated?
We are looking for a few great people to add to our awesome team. This weekend warrior position is perfect for someone who is in Madison all summer long and available most/all Saturdays and Sundays mid-May through the end of August. An earlier start date is possible. This position can continue in the fall, if desired. It is helpful if you can work 1-2 weekday shifts if needed (especially Tuesdays or Fridays), but Saturdays and Sundays are a must.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Greets all customers warmly
- Answers customer questions in person, over the phone, or via text
- Makes strong connections with customers to ensure they have a positive experience
- Packages bakery items and works efficiently to help customers
- Crafts coffee drinks
- Keeps bakery case, deli, cooler, and retail space well stocked and organized
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of front of house and contributes time in the dish pit
- Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications: | Competencies:
This person must be self-motivated, kind, hardworking, organized, able to multitask, and have a good attention to detail. Great interpersonal skills and communication with coworkers, management, and customers is needed. Friendly and able to work in a fast paced environment. Able to receive constructive criticism feedback on a daily basis, and willing to ask questions to meet Bloom’s standards.
Education and Experience:
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience is preferred, but we will train the right applicant!
- Legally able to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to stand on feet for entirety of shift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
