Position Summary/Job Duties:

Middleton, WI (Blackhawk Neighborhood)

$25/hour | Weekdays 2:00–6:00 PM | Family Car Provided

We are a thoughtful, well-organized household that values predictability and flexibility. Our home is grounded in consistency, safety, and meeting our children where they are. We are seeking a caregiver who naturally brings those values into their work.

  • Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

  • Opportunities for additional hours, including school days off, occasional evenings, and weekends

Children

  • Two school-age children (ages 10 and 6)

  • One toddler (age 2)

Responsibilities

  • Pick up the 10- and 6-year-old from school

  • Drive children to and from after-school activities

  • Engage kids in age-appropriate activities at home during downtime (games, homework support, creative play)

  • Pick up our 2-year-old around 5:00 PM

  • Help all children transition smoothly into the afternoon/evening routine

  • Light assistance with starting dinner or simple family routines

Transportation

  • You’ll drive to our home in Middleton, then use our family car for all child transportation

You'll do well in this role if you

  • Value child safety and are CPR/BLS certified (or open to becoming certified — we’re happy to support this)

  • Enjoy meeting kids where they are at, adjusting your approach based on their age, energy, and needs

  • Appreciate the comfort of routines and consistency, while staying flexible when plans change

  • Bring a patient, steady presence that helps children transition smoothly between school, activities, and home

We believe children do best when caregivers are calm, communicative, and supportive — and we aim to be the same with the people who work with our family.

Ideal Candidate

  • Responsible, dependable, and enjoys working with kids

  • Comfortable driving children locally (valid driver’s license required)

  • Experience with children preferred (babysitting, nannying, camp counseling, tutoring, education, healthcare, etc.)

  • A great fit for individuals interested in child development, education, psychology, health sciences, or family support work

Compensation

  • $25/hour

  • Paid weekly or bi-weekly (flexible)

If you’re looking for a consistent, well-paid afternoon position with a kind, respectful family, we would love to hear from you!
