The Information Technology Academy (ITA) provides educational services to diverse students, with the ultimate goal of increasing their enrollment, retention, and graduation rates at UW-Madison

Seeking highly responsible college enrolled students in good standing who are making satisfactory progress toward a degree. (UW, Edgewood, MMI, Madison College students all eligible to apply.) Commitment to working with a diverse clientele required. At least 3 semester commitment. All finalists subject to criminal background check

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills essential. Ability to adapt to a shifting variety of duties; English fluency required. Strong computer skills and knowledge on Microsoft Office and Data Science are desired. Willingness and desire to learn about topics that would include HTML, CSS, programming, computer troubleshooting, video production, and sound design is very helpful.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Preparing lessons and teaching those lessons to high school students on topics like Microsoft Office and Data Science. Supporting those students with projects that may involve HTML, CSS, Python, computer troubleshooting, video production, or sound design. The lessons may be in person or online. There is content and curriculum available to use as reference.
