Department Overview:

The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) serves as the public, environmental, and occupational health laboratory for the state of Wisconsin, and is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Schedule:

• December – January up to 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Enrolled university student for Fall and/or Spring 2024/25 semesters
• Reliable transportation
• An interest or previous training in environmental science or/and chemistry

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently after training

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Data entry of environmental samples
• Verify test codes and demographics data review
• Assist with test form management

 

We are looking for a reliable and committed student team member for the winter.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
