Department Overview:

We are a department in the School of Medicine and Public Health that specializes in animal research support and husbandry. We serve over 200 research investigators with animal research support.

Qualifications:

Must be a UW student or a student at a qualified educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must be detail-oriented and have general knowledge of computers and email. Must be organized, use effective communication and able to be a team player.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties include changing rodent cages, stocking supplies, room maintenance, record keeping, handling research mice and tissue sampling for PCR (Polychromes Chain Reaction).

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time and to lift up to 50 pounds.
