Department Overview:
The Morgridge Center for Public Service (MCPS) promotes citizenship and learning through engagement with local, national, and global communities. Schedule:
Hours scheduled between the hours of 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday with some evenings/weekends commitments, flexible scheduling. Regular one-on-one with your supervisor. Attending Morgridge Center training, staff meetings, and events as required.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, responsible, independent workers with strong time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Applicants must be an enrolled UW student for the 2025-26 academic year.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Candidates should have some experience with facilitation and tenets of social justice and/or community engagement.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Workshop Coordination and Facilitation Manage relevant workshop coordination logistics including, but not limited to, marketing and advertising, room reservations, and assessment and tracking. Facilitate and tailor workshops for various campus populations, including, but not limited to, student organizations, academic courses, and student employees. Identify and recruit relevant populations to engage in trainings Attend regular staff meetings with the Community Engagement Graduate Assistant and other interns Plan and facilitate educational events that further discussions related to responsible and meaningful community engagement Outreach and Relationship Building Support MCPS efforts to increase the reach of these trainings and resources by connecting with relevant campus groups Work collaboratively with campus partners to develop and/or tailor community engagement curriculum to meet diverse needs Program Coordination Plan and facilitate educational events that further discussions related to responsible and meaningful community engagement Center Support: As needed, support general office needs, such as front desk staffing or outreach opportunities As interested, support any Center-wide committees, such as the Center's diversity, equity, inclusion; sustainability; training/professional development; and/or wellness committee, as examples. Attend Morgridge Center trainings, staff meetings, and events as required
