Department Overview:
The Grinblat Lab uses zebrafish embryos to study the genetics and epigenetics of brain and eye development vertebrates.

Schedule:
The work will be performed during normal business hours. Detailed schedule will be determined based on research needs and will allow for flexibility as needed.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have a strong foundation in basic genetics and molecular biology. Experience in wet lab/molecular molecular biology methods is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Punctuality, reliability, attention to detail and ability to follow a written protocol.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
This position will entail assisting a graduate student in a variety of experimental techniques, for example, PCR, gel electrophoresis, zebrafish husbandry and fluorescent microscopy. Training in these techniques will be provided.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift 5 - 10 lbs for a short period of time, reach above eye level to lift and move bottles, open lightly sealed lids.
