The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

Shifts vary from 4, 6 to 8 hours determining on availability and operational needs. Students are typically scheduled within the hours of 7am and 9pm. Opportunities to work outside of those hours are sometimes available. Currently looking for individuals with availability from 3pm - 11pm on Sunday and Monday and/or availability Tuesday - Thursday from 7am - 3pm.

• Accurately record/enter room and parking reservations, reservation lists, e-mail reservations, changes, and cancellations as received
• Answer phones, take messages and transfer calls
• Email, mail, or fax confirmations as received and folios as needed
• Record accurate billing information on reservations as received. Make contacts for additional information as needed
• Manage return of lost and found items 
• Organize and monitor items stored at the front desk
• Keep front desk offices neat, clean, and organized
• Perform additional duties as assigned within deadlines set by supervisor or manager
