Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison

  • Observant and attuned to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Excellent communication/customer service skills, confidence interacting with diverse individuals (ability, race, gender, age, class, profession, etc.)
  • Highly self-motivated; able to work independently
  • Displays good judgment and professionalism
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Independent problem-solver
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite, including Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Position Summary/Job Duties:

  • Greeting/directing visitors & research participants
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in person and over phone
  • Assist Office & Resource Manager and other members of the Operations team with various administrative tasks
  • Daily space maintenance, including cleaning and organization
  • Assist with scheduling, room and parking reservations
  • Upkeep and organization of supply & equipment inventory
  • Help coordinate and communicate about internal resources to CHM staff
  • Assist with other projects as needed, including making signs, data entry, making calls, event/visitor hosting, etc.

Physical Demands:

This position requires walking, sitting, moving between two stories (elevator available), and occasional heavy lifting
