Department Overview:

Come join our team in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment (OAR) within the Division of Enrollment Management at UW-Madison! We are admissions professionals dedicated to recruiting, admitting, and enrolling the next generation of UW-Madison undergraduates.

Schedule:

We are seeking a student who can work in-person 8-10 hours each week. An individual’s schedule will be arranged through conversation with the supervisor. Shifts will occur between 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Shifts can be arranged to work around your class schedule and other obligations.

Qualifications:

- UW-Madison undergraduate student, in good non-academic conduct standing
- Able to make a work commitment for the entire semester, with summer and/or future years possible
- Preference given to students who are first-year through third-year status
- Priority given to students with Federal Work Study

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Maintaining confidentiality with documents and information
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Follow detailed instructions and ask questions
- Passion and enthusiasm about experience at UW-Madison
- Familiar with Microsoft Office programs, ability and interest to learn new computer programs (Adobe, Salesforce and others)

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Data entry in Salesforce for events and manage emails through internal student email
- Scanning documents, creating surveys, copying and distributing materials
- Support recruitment staff by tracking college fair information and preparing/shipping recruitment materials for off-campus events
- Assisting with onboarding and offboarding activities and tasks
- Tracking inventory and maintaining office supplies and recruitment materials
- Prepare and provide support for OAR team meetings or on-campus events as needed
- Provide back-up and support for other teams across the office
The possibility for advancement in hourly wage exists for students who stay with the office more than one year.

Physical Demands:

May be some light lifting, moving chairs or tables.
