Qualifications:
The Human Integrative Physiology Lab in the Department of Kinesiology is looking for research participants for a study involving healthy adult men and women. You are receiving this email because you are a student or employee at UW-Madison between the ages of 18-40.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
If you take part in this study, procedures would include: • measuring height, weight, and blood pressure, • blood draw to measure variables (ex: glucose, cholesterol, and hormones levels) • a maximal exercise (fitness) test • inserting a small catheter into a vein in your arm • breathing high oxygen gas • imaging (MRI) of your brain blood vessels • oral supplementation of antioxidants To be able to take part in this study you must: • be 18-40 years old, • be a non-tobacco user, • have normal cholesterol and glucose, • be taking no cardiovascular (anti-hypertensives, statins, platelet inhibitors, etc.) or metabolic (insulin-sensitizing) medications, • women must not be on hormonal birth control or must be willing to suspend hormonal birth control for up to 6 months. • have weekday availability for MRI scans (Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm).

Physical Demands:
Laying down in an MRI for up to 1 hour.
