Department Overview:
The University of Wisconsin Aquatic Sciences Center administers the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute and the Wisconsin Water Resources Institute, which support multidisciplinary research, education and outreach for the protection and sustainable use of Wisconsin's water resources.

Schedule:
This position will be working a combination of on-site and remotely. Interviews and project meetings may be conducted via Zoom. The candidate must have a reliable Internet connection and a personal computer/laptop with webcam, microphone, and speakers. Actual work schedule flexible depending on class schedule and to be determined in conjunction with supervisor. Anticipated 01/05/2026 start date negotiable if not in Madison during the break.

Qualifications:
Courses and/or work experience related to environmental education, water education, or general education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Provide support for the outreach and educational activities associated with increasing awareness of Great Lakes Literacy Principles. https://cgll.org/purpose-principles/ Anticipated projects may include • supporting the development of an educational kit to be used across the Great Lakes basin, • assistance designing and implementing educator professional learning opportunities, • creation and organization of electronic education curriculum files to support the development of digital resources for educators • educational project proposed by the hired student and supported by the supervisor. Physical Demands:
Ability to work for several hours per day on a computer. Ability to load and unload educational supplies into a mini-van or other vehicle.
