Schedule:

We are looking for one individual that can work during the following shifts. Please mark the days and times that you are able to cover for the spring 2026 semester. Students will regularly work ten to fifteen hours per week.

Mondays: 9am-5pm
Tuesdays: 9am-5pm
Wednesdays: 9am-5pm
Thursdays: 9am-5pm
Fridays: 9am-5pm

Qualifications:

Enrolled in UW-Madison with a good academic standing.

Not open to students in the LSC major or graduate programs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Attention to detail, independent problem solving, reliable, good communicator.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

This position will include a variety of duties ranging from answering phones and emails, checking out audio/visual equipment and keys to our radio labs, mailing packages, filing, tidying public spaces and other duties as assigned.

The student hired into this appointment will also work closely with LSC's Graduate Communications Assistant. They will assist in engaging with followers on departmental social media accounts. organize relevant files and databases, including Comms PA files and Eloqua database.

Students will also be asked to help with event planning for the department's scholarship reception and
spring graduation ceremony.

There may be some days without a lot of active project work and you'd be able to work on homework during your shift.
