This is an ongoing position. Students may serve in this role until their graduation.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Minimum: 5 hours Maximum: 25 hours

Schedule:

- Fall & Spring Semesters: 5–10 hours per week
- Summer: 15–25 hours per week
- Must be available to work during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8am - 5pm)
- Two positions are available (At least one position must begin during Summer 2026. The second position may begin in Summer 2026 or Fall 2026)

Qualifications:

- Must be available to work in-person at Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center.
- Hiring for two positions (A minimum of one must be available to begin working in Summer 2026).
- Preferred, Rec Well employment experience, or other campus employment experience.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The Staff Training & Development team is seeking two creative, and motivated student employees to serve in this highly impactful leadership position. Our work is geared towards creating learning and development opportunities for all Rec Well employees that enhance their overall growth as an employee and professional. The Staff Training & Development Student Intern will assist in the creation and implementation of staff training and development projects and initiatives that serve Rec Well student and professional employees. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Staff Training & Development.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the building, organizing, and implementation of Rec Well divisional trainings.
- Assist in the guidance of the Rec Well student development philosophy.
- Maintain and update the Rec Well Student Employee Canvas Page & Workday Learnings
- Assist in the tracking of divisional training compliance for student employees.
- Gather information for, write, and edit the student employee newsletter (The Monthly Turnstile) each month to ensure division wide news is shared with employees.
- Review and provide analysis for learning & development outcomes and assessment data.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Staff Training & Development and the Student Recreation Leadership Council (SRLC) on projects and initiatives hosted by SRLC.
- Propose new project ideas and collaborate with team members to plan, implement, and complete them.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
