Department Overview:
UW-Madison's Office of Admissions and Recruitment is seeking a plugged-in individual with a passion for videography and photography, media, and engaging with the UW-Madison community Come join our team in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment (OAR) within the Division of Enrollment Management at UW-Madison! We are admissions professionals dedicated to recruiting, admitting, and enrolling the next generation of UW-Madison undergraduates.

Schedule:
Varies - flexible hours include school days, nights, and weekends, depending on content and events. This role will resemble a more freelance position, averaging about 4-10 hours a week, while school is in session.

Qualifications:
-Eligible for student employment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison -A keen eye for video and photo (backgrounds in each are a plus) -Knowledge of A/V equipment and how it’s used -A passion for UW-Madison and an interest in sharing it with Future Badgers -Deep interest and passion for storytelling through filming and photography techniques -Flexible schedule availability to attend UW-Madison events (average 4 hours per week) -Strong organizational skills and fine attention to detail -A positive attitude and professional demeanor -Good academic standing Students hired for this position work as a team. We have some students on our team that are focused in one medium or another, and others that are proficient in photography and videography. Please indicate if you have interest and ability to do both photography/videography or would prefer to focus in a specific area. Position Summary/Job Duties:
Capture content across campus through photography or film and bringing affiliated equipment (camera bag/tripod/mic/etc) to/from locations on campus. A fun, flexible, and compelling paid internship with hands-on opportunities to showcase your talent for capturing stories. You’ll gain communications and marketing experience by capturing the great things UW-Madison has to offer on campus and at UW-Madison Admissions events. Your content will help Future Badgers worldwide! There are opportunities to gain skills in videography and photography, event coverage, marketing, and PR. At the end of this internship, you’ll have a resume that reflects a range of skills that will be valuable at any organization. Physical Demands:
Ability to bring a digital camera bag and tripod (approx 10 lbs) to and from locations on campus as needed.
