Schedule:
Hours scheduled between the hours of 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday with some evenings/weekends commitments, flexible scheduling. Regular one-on-one with your supervisor. Attending Morgridge Center training, staff meetings, and events as required.

Applicants must be an enrolled UW undergrad for the 2026-27 academic year. Employment will require UW-Madison to verify your identity and employment eligibility. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Strong interpersonal and public communication skills Effective organizational and time management skills Aptitude for understanding and managing various forms of technology/software (i.e. Spreadsheets, GivePulse, Canva, Camera and Video Equipment, etc.) Ability to collaborate with staff to support student community engagement Commitment to the values of equity and responsible community engagement Strong facilitation skills (or interest in growing these skills) Ability to adapt to change Tutoring, mentoring, or experience working with youth preferred but not required
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Recruitment, Registration, and Onboarding: 1. Support Badger Volunteers Educate recruitment, including organizing and promoting recruitment events, representing at tabling events such as the Public Service Fair and Student Org Fair, conducting intentional outreach and presenting to campus advisors, faculty, and organizations 2. Collaborate with Badger Volunteers Educate Team to develop and facilitate orientation & reflection sessions that incorporate identity, power and privilege, community engagement preparedness, and logistics of the program, such as tutoring and mentoring training and workshops 3. Manage Badger Volunteers Educate registration on BadgersEngage (GivePulse) platform and Intake Form Communications, Management, and Development 1. Serve as main Morgridge Center representative in communications between Badger Volunteers Educate Site Leaders and Community Partners throughout K-12 sites and partnerships 2. Collaborate with other Badger Volunteers program interns to create social media marketing campaign to communicate on Badger Volunteers Instagram page 3. Manage the Badger Volunteers Educate email account with consistent and responsive communication focused on problem solving 4. Support assigned BV Educate Site Leaders through regular check-ins and facilitated large group meetings 5. Attend site visits (coordinated by Education Programs Manager) to deepen understanding and build relationships with sites we support Engagement Session Planning and Facilitation 1. Serve as contributing member of the Morgridge Center’s Student Programming Board 2. Plan and co-facilitate engaging sessions focused on interesting and relevant topics to strengthen further learning, reflection and community-building for Badger Volunteers 3. Manage event creation on BadgersEngage, create marketing tools to advertise events, track attendance, and facilitate event reflection and evaluation Other Program Support 1. Act as a first respondent supporter regarding Morgridge Center programs, events and resources, and community engagement opportunities 2. Coordinate end-of-semester community partner acknowledgement, such as writing thank you notes to each partner Center Support 1. Attend Center trainings and team meetings: Fall Training Monthly Programming Board meeting on Mondays, 5:00-6:00 pm Monthly All Staff meeting on Mondays, 5:30-6:30 pm Weekly team meetings with BV Educate Team
