The Advising & Career Center (ACC) in the School of Human Ecology (SoHE) seeks a dynamic, self-starter to help advance school-wide career development goals. This includes facilitating career advising drop ins as well as providing peer-to-peer resume and cover letter reviews, and conducting mock interviews. The Intern will assist with consistent tasks such as bi-weekly newsletter curation, managing the Career Services email, developing weekly social media content, preparing marketing materials for events throughout the semester, and will have the opportunity to take on special projects. The Career Development Intern may suggest ideas for career-related programming, services, and intern duties to best meet the needs of the office, school, and students. This is an outstanding opportunity for students interested in higher education administration, student services, advising, career services, training and development, and/or program development and improvement. Intern must be able to work a few weeks in spring 2026 for orientation and to get acquainted with responsibilities and duties at $17.00/hour. Must be available for limited summer hours ($18.00/hour), and be able to commit to at least 15 hours per week throughout the course of the fall 2026 semester between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday ($18.00/hour). Hours are flexible, as the ACC team can work around student schedules as needed. However, interns may also be required to assist with some student programming or events outside of normal business hours throughout the semester. The intern will work in-person, with potential for ad hoc remote work upon discussion with the supervisor. Upon successful completion of the fall semester, the Intern may be invited to continue working for a second term.
