MSCR is looking for experienced, reliable, creative and dedicated youth workers to help support all functions of an Elementary Summer Recreation and Enrichment Center site (SREC). Form meaningful relationships with staff and students while leading, coaching and supporting the team. Paid professional development and training are provided to help build your skills. Opportunities to continue employment into Fall. Come join us! During summer, MSCR offers the Summer Recreation and Enrichment Centers (SREC). MMSD students enrolled in morning Summer School, transition to SREC mid-day to join MSCR staff for a variety of recreation and enrichment activities (outdoor, science, art, music, drama, etc.) and field trips. SREC Snap shot Each SREC site provides programming for approximately 180 students in grades 4k-4. Classrooms typically have 15-18 students that are supervised by two or more Program Leaders. Each site has a leadership team that consists of one Director, 3-5 Assistant Directors and one Inclusion Assistant Director. ADs are typically assigned to support a specific grade level. Assistant Directors begin their day checking in with the Director to prep. AD’s greet and check in with Program Leaders as they arrive and help them prep. The majority of the time is spent providing support for staff and students during program time. End-of-day duties may include checking in with staff, families and/or the Director; clean up and prep for the following day, conducting a staff meeting, etc
