Position Summary/Job Duties:
Part-Time Summer Babysitter for 11-year-old and 8-year-old
We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to provide part-time summer childcare for our 11-year-old and 8-year-old children. The caregiver will be asked to create a fun and stimulating environment through hands-on experiences and outdoor activities.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and interact with the children for 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with an emphasis on games and outdoor activities.
Provide assistance with light snacks and meals daily.
Foster a positive and supportive environment where the children feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring their interests.
Enforce any household rules or guidelines set by the parents regarding behavior, screen time, and outdoor safety.
Location: Bindl Household - Historic Middleton Station
Wage: $240-360/week, commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
Must Have Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children, preferably in a babysitting or childcare role.
Ability to plan and organize engaging activities in advance, tailored to the interests and ages of the children.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the well-being of the children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Have Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR.
Familiarity with local parks, nature reserves, and outdoor recreation areas.
Creative skills such as arts and crafts, storytelling, or musical abilities.
Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and a passion for connecting children with nature.
Fluency in additional languages or knowledge of different cultures.
