Department Overview:

The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

Schedule:

  • We work around class schedules and exams. We also accommodate to extra curricular obligations if possible.

     

Salary/Wage Range:

 Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:
  • Ring up transactions at the registers and assist customers.
  • Maintain store’s stock and replace/rotate as needed.
  • Help maintain health code requirements and policies.
  • Work with a team to improve unit operations and workflow.
  • Be knowledgeable in multiple MU Markets units (Peet’s, Badger Market & Daily Scoop). 

Qualifications:

 

Dedicated and self-starting employee needed.  Flexible outlook to work at 3 separate units in the Union (Peet’s, Badger Market and Daily Scoop).  Food service techniques and knowledge are a plus
