Position Summary/Job Duties:

Hello! My family is looking for support caring for our 3-month old infant daughter after my maternity leave concludes in mid-October, 2024. We live in the Grandview Commons area, so we would likely need someone who has their own car. We could offer $20-$25/hour depending on experience. We also have a dog and two cats who are quite mellow, so animal lovers are very welcome here.

We're hoping to find a part-time nanny who can provide support in our home during hours that I will be working. As a social worker who works primarily in my home-office, I'm able to schedule the majority of my meetings to take place during times that are most conducive to a nanny's schedule. Thanks to this, we can be quite flexible around scheduling (number of hours desired per week, specific times/days, etc). We would love to find someone able to provide care in the morning through mid-afternoon (about 8-12 or 9-1pm) 3-4 days/week, (but again, very happy to be flexible on all of those details). We are also super open to hiring multiple supporters who could split desired hours each week (one person could take Mondays & Tuesdays, the other could take Wednesdays and Thursdays, just as an example).

My husband and I are both graduates of UW Madison and totally understand how tricky it can be to balance the demands of being a student while trying to make an income. We are very open to supporting any caregivers we hire with this as much as possible- we would not expect any additional help with household tasks beyond infant-care, and you would be more than welcome to study, work on assignments, relax and watch tv, or do whatever you need to do during windows when the baby is napping (which will hopefully be a lot!)

I've worked as a nanny/household manager for many families in the past and have so much appreciation for all childcare providers, so thank you to anyone interested for simply considering this option! I'm more than happy to answer any questions or connect further.
