Position Summary/Job Duties:

The Marquette Hotel is seeking an assistant to help run the day-to-day operations. This boutique 11-room hotel is family-owned and managed. It is located one mile East of the Capitol, on many bus lines and bike paths. We are a growing business and are currently adding a full-service cafe with outdoor seating. All operations are managed onsite. The work duties change frequently. We are seeking a motivated assistant with great communication skills, the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and a desire to show leadership and take responsibility. In addition, we handle all functions of the hotel and cafe. 

Food and beverages are offered as part of being employed with us. 

You would need tobe able to clean rooms,work in the kitchen area, laundry, help staff with goals, learn current and new software,work on business goals,trouble shoot issues that come up and in general be able to fullfill the variety of current and changing responsibilties we work on everyday to make this business operate.

The pay begings at  $17 then $18 after 10 months then $19 after 10 months.

The staff are almost entrioy UW students and staff genearly stay with us for a couple years while in college.

Required:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creativity and interest in problem solving
  • Using AI, google products,Sqaure for restaurants
