Position Summary/Job Duties:
The successful candidates for these positions perform varied public contact services, which may include customer service work, cash handling, staffing events and programs, routine labor and custodial work, light clerical duties, set up work, etc.
CURRENT VACANY:
1.) Madison Senior Center Attendant
CANDIDATES 18 AND OVER WELCOME TO APPLY
Open and close building for events. Set-up and tear-down tables and chairs. Assist renters/building users with questions, including equipment usage. Oversee front desk during events and answer incoming calls and questions from public. Perform routine cleaning and ensure correct setup for next day activities. If pertinent, contact Fire or Police to request assistance in emergency situations. Work independently. Report event issues to Senior Center staff. Perform related work as assigned.
HOURS: Hours vary depending on demand. Approximately 6-10 hours per week; but can range from 0-15+ hours per week depending on building usage. Primarily night hours between 4-9:30 p.m. and weekend hours between 6 a.m.-12 a.m.
Qualifications:
All applicants will be considered for these positions. Depending on the number of applications, random selection may be used to determine who will proceed to the interview process.
Physical Demands
Employee may be expected to stand for long periods of time.
