Department Overview:
The Cider Farm Tasting room, Cidery and Kitchen is the retail outlet for The Cider Farm's organic orchard. This orchard grows only true cider apples (apples with tannins that are not for eating but for making alcoholic beverages--like the wine grapes of apples). We make our ciders on premises, sell them and our brandies from the front of the house and provide some nice food items to go with the drinks served. Food ingredients are sourced from local organic and sustainable suppliers. We do food service Wednesday through Sunday and frequently have catered events or parties on Tuesdays as well as other days through the week.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Cider Farm tasting room, cidery and kitchen needs a kitchen assistant to work with in preparing small plates food items at its Madison location. The Kitchen Assistant would be trained to prepare our small plates type food items and for help with food preparation for small parites and events held at The Cider Farm Tasting Room.
Qualifications:
No culinary training is required. The Kitchen Assistant will be trained in food safety and in preparing the simple small plates and boards that are our food offerings at The Cider Farm cidery and kitchen.
Physical Demands
Requires standing and walking, some light lifting. Need to be able to move quickly in close environments.
