Department Overview:

The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

Anticipated Schedule

Monday - Friday this Fall with mandatory Saturdays for all home Badger football games. I am looking for specific hours. If you can work any of these hours, please apply. Monday: 11-1, 1-3, 3-5 Wednesday: 9-11, 9-11, 1-3, 5-8 Thursday: 1-3 Friday: 11-1, 11-1, 1-3, 3-5

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Each role will have an aspect of cashiering and general customer service skills
  • Maintaining a clean work environment
  • Assisting with food service as needed
  • Please note, you may have to come in contact with heat on the job

Qualifications:

  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Prior food experience helpful, not required
  • Must be enrolled as a student

Student Status

To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or highschool (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Hourly Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
