Position Summary/Job Duties:

A Bakery Assistant is responsible for setting and measuring recipes paying close attention to accuracy, setting up orders for our dining units, assisting our bakers and chef’s with bakery tasks, working with a variety of culinary equipment such as ovens and steam kettles, stocking product as needed, and maintaining kitchen sanitation and appearance. We are looking for individuals who love working on a team, have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to customer service.

  • Assist with all phases of food preparation for bakery and specialty items.
  • Maintain sanitation standards and portion control per supervisor instructions.
  • Set up kitchen stations that include utensils, recipes, and supplies.
  • Maintain beverage station dispensers and refill as necessary.
  • Complete required reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possibility of pushing and pulling carts weighing approximately 200 lbs.
