Student Jobs

-Monday through Thursdays afterschool. You do not have to work everyday or all three hours on your day(s). 

-The director will help choose a schedule that is right for you. 

-We tutor reading and math. We hire a varitey of different teachers to cover these areas. You do not have to teach both reading and math.  The director will help match students with your abilities.

We are open Monday through Friday with lessons starting at 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30. You do not have to work everyday or every lesson of each day. Most tutors work 3-12 hours per week. The director will help you come up with a schedule that works well for you.  

-We are looking for students getting a degree in education going into their junior year or highter. We are also ideal for teachers getting a master's degree.

-Most tutors work 3-12 hours per week. 

-Tutoring is in-person at our Monona location. 

-Tabletop is open year-round, and we are looking for people who would like to stay for at least a year.

=You would begin by scheduling a 30-minute lesson observation to see if this is a position you would like to interview for.

-Paid, hands-on training starts with you observing a lesson and asking questions. Then, you would work with one student at a table alongside another tutor. The goal is to work your way up to teaching two students per lesson at your own table. 

-We have a structured program, so there is no need to create your own lessons from scratch. There is no work to take home, and our team is supportive and collaborative.

-We have been impressed with the UW students that have collaborated with us.
