Department Overview:

The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Position Summary/Job Duties:

  • Responsible for warehouse inventory receiving, stocking shelves and picking orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and security in the warehouse area
  • Assist in the delivery of carts, product, supplies and mail across Union and academic buildings
  • Miscellaneous jobs as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • MUST have a valid driver's license and have 2 years of driving history without accidents
  • Punctuality and time management, excellent customer service, teamwork skills, and familiarity with UW Campus layout and traffic patterns a bonus
  • Stand, walk, twist and lift, on concrete floors, for three hours at a time
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. to shoulder height
  • Ability to climb ladders, push or pull wheeled-carts weighing 600 to 1200 lbs., and loading and unloading of trucks in all weather conditions
  • Must be in active student status
  • Use email, text, phone, and two- way- radio to receive delivery instructions
