Position Summary/Job Duties:
Respond to student organizations, university departments, and community organizations who want to rent the Wisconsin Union Theater’s performance spaces (Shannon Hall & the Play Circle)
Use a variety of communication mediums to gather renter’s information, event schedules, staffing & equipment needs, catering needs, and billing information.
Schedule and attend rental meetings and walk-throughs with the Production Manager and/or WUT Staff; take notes.
Use event scheduling software (EMS) to build event holds, prep event booking confirmations, coordinate logistical needs, and generate reports.
Understand various campus policies, Wisconsin Union procedures, and Wisconsin Union Theater practices in order to support customers.
Know proper names, locations, and capacity of Wisconsin Union Theater performance spaces and ancillary spaces to help answer commonly-asked questions from customers.
Perform tasks such as scheduling meetings with renters, maintaining spreadsheets, and updating materials, etc.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in good written and verbal communication with customers/clients.
Ability to work in a professional office both as part of a team and independently.
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, with strong skills in spreadsheets (or willingness to learn!)
Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
Commitment to contributing to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
Ability to work with diverse groups
