Position Summary/Job Duties:

Early Childhood Educator 

Hygge Academy, a nature-based early childhood in-home daycare, is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to help shape our growing program. This role goes beyond teaching—you’ll foster a warm, play-based learning environment, engage with families, plan community events, and contribute to our business growth.

Position Details:

Location: DeForest, WI
Pay: $25/hr + potential profit sharing
Hours: Full-time (M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM)
Start Date: April 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Guide child-led, outdoor learning in all seasons
  • Build strong relationships with families & coordinate community events
  • Support enrollment, marketing, and business expansion efforts
  • Create blog posts, educational materials & social media content
  • Assist with licensing, compliance & classroom upkeep

Requirements:

  • Experience in early childhood education (teaching, nannying, homeschooling, etc.)
  • CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Strong communication & organizational skills
  • Passion for holistic, nature-based education & sustainability
