10:00 am - Arrival

10:00-10:20 am - Prep todders' room space

10:20-11:45 am - Care for toddlers during worship service

11:45 am-12:30 pm - Children are picked up, space is cleaned and depart

Position Summary/Job Duties:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Head Caregiver (HC) serves the families of Res Pres by providing safe, dependable, and excellent care for our children ages 2-4 during the Sunday worship service.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcoming – Greet parents and children and help with sign-in/sign-out and acclimate children to the space
  • Caring for Children – Respond to behavioral/emotional needs of children, notify parents of sick children, and other issues
  • Organization – Keep track of children’s personal belongings (e.g., diaper bags) and other materials
  • Time Management – Ensure that children’s programming is on track and that other volunteers are on task
  • Cleaning Up – Restore the children’s space to its found condition

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be available on Sundays from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

  • Arrive on time each Sunday.

  • Attend mandatory training sessions each year to review policies & procedures in order to continue to serve the children of Res Pres safely and effectively

  • Give at least two weeks notice prior to being absent. If ill, please notify the Children’s Ministry Lead as soon as possible.

  • No more than 6 absences per year (including sick days).

  • A commitment to serve at least 1 academic year from start date.

  • Must pass Res Pres’s background and reference check.

Additional qualifications:

  1. Agrees with the vision and values of Resurrection Presbyterian Church.
  2. Experience in teaching or babysitting nursery, preschool or elementary children.
  3. Must be a team player and have character qualities such as integrity, wisdom, and good judgment.
  4. Must be punctual and responsible.
  5. Warm and engaging personality that is welcoming to parents and children, especially those children who may have difficulty separating from their parents.

Physical Demands

Must be able to carry 20 lbs.
