Department Overview:

Family Support and Resource Center provides support for families with children with disabilities through management of the Children's Long Term Support Waiver. This case is overseen by the family's case manager, Rebecca Uselman

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Loving family looking for a reliable respite provider to provide care for and hang out with their child, a fun and energetic 7-year-old boy with special needs. He has some learning and developmental delays with her speech, fine, and gross motor skills. However, he loves to be active and interact with others. He requires support with staying engaged in activities, but responds well when he is having lots of fun with them! He needs some support in peer/sibling interactions. Training in best practices for these supports will be provided by his parents before starting work.

Qualifications:

Experience with special needs children is preferred, but by no means required. Providers must be patient, fun, and willing to learn. Background check will be conducted, references may be checked, driver's license and clean driving record preferred. Great opportunity for someone looking for a fun, active, but casual job! Providers must be able to get themselves to and from the home.
