Position Summary/Job Duties:
Join our team as a Server and be part of delivering top-notch service at high-energy UW-Madison sporting events! You’ll serve food and beverages with excellence, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests. If you have a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, and love working in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Anticipated start date of June 1st.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure food and beverages are properly displayed and maintained throughout the event to provide a high-quality guest experience.
Open, modify, and close guests' checks using an electronic tablet.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
Serve food and beverages in a timely and gracious manner.
Thoroughly clean and organize the event area after the event, ensuring everything is returned to the catering facility promptly.
Stock, clean, and maintain your assigned location and equipment for smooth operations.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu and products available for guests.
Follow safety and sanitation policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a successful event.
Qualifications:
Team player with a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for great service.
Previous food service experience is preferred, especially in high-volume settings.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, organized, and detail-oriented.
Ability to remain professional when interacting with high-profile guests, including donors, alumni, and former athletes.
Availability to work all UW-Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center for the 2025-2026 season.
ServSafe Food Handler Certification & Alcohol Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to walk and stand for long hours in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
