Position Summary/Job Duties:
You would be assisting Dr Chopra, a retired cardiovascular surgeon, with his everyday needs. Dr Chopra suffered spinal stenosis several years ago and only has minimal mobility in his extremeties and requires assitance with everyday tasks. Your responsibilites would include:
- Using medical tranfer devices such as EasyStand, Sara Stedy, and a Hoyer. (We will train you on how to use them incase you are not familiar with these)
- Medication administration
- Everday cares such as toileting, brushing and dressing
- Physiotherapy (we will teach you all the exercises required for Dr Chopra)
- Basic everyday chores such as laundary, cleaning, and minor errands such as picking up pharmacy orders
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience is highly recommended
Physical Demands
- Transferring using medical devices
