Department Overview:

The mission of the Monroe Street Arts Center is to engage a community of learners in exploring the arts and developing the creative self.

Through crafting a unique experience for each student, we provide a nurturing and supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and allowing them to unlock their potential. Our supportive team and attention to detail make us the destination studio for instructors and students. This role is essential in ensuring the success of our organization by serving as a general point of contact for staff and families.

Schedule:

At least one weekday evening (2:00pm - 9:00pm) and 1-2 Saturdays per month required (8:30am - 4:00pm) 

 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

  • Greet families, staff & visitors
  • Answer phones, respond to center emails & voicemails
  • Issue class reminders
  • Register students in person & over the phone
  • Assist with website updates and maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness & order at the front desk and lobby
  • Complete daily cleaning checklist
  • Perform room setup & teardown as needed
  • Help ensure facility is secure, safe & in good repair

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization, communication & people skills
  • Passion for working in arts education
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds & sit or stand for long periods of time

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 25 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time.
