7:30 or 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. M-F.  Please apply if you could only cover some full or half days.  We are flexible!

Position Summary/Job Duties:

ISO a friendly and responsible individual to hang with our 13year-old son who has developmental disabilities for the last few weeks of summer.  Hours from 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. M-F.  Pick up as few or as many days or half days as you'd like.

Our oldest son's wonderful caregiver is heading off to grad school soon we are looking for individuals to fill in for the last few weeks of summer.  This is a fantastic opportunity for future teachers, occupational, speech or physical therapists, or others in the medical profession.  He needs adult assistance with toileting (wears pull ups as a back-up and goes to the bathroom on a schedule) but is verbal and mobile.  Additional respite hours would be available for an interested applicant, and we also have a posting for after school care that would begin early September for interested applicants.  Our son loves to go on field trips to grocery stores, Target, Home Depot or Menards--get paid to take him along on your errands!   Experience working with children with autism or developmental delay required. 

Though we have a Verona mailing address, we are actually located in the Cherrywood Neighborhood off of Mineral Point Road in the Town of Middleton.

Qualifications:

  • Child care experience 
  • CPR training or willing to become certified
  • Experience with special needs required
  • Transportation required
