Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

Schedule:
Expected Weekly Hours to average 10 hours per week.
Must be available to work occasional evenings or weekends during events.
Unit Hours: M-F, 9am-5pm with occasional night and weekend.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Assist with processing and organizing contracts and related documentation.
Provide support for planning and executing student and community events.
Staff office hours to greet visitors, answer basic inquiries, and maintain a welcoming office environment.
Track RSVPs and attendance data for events using spreadsheets or event management tools.
Help with general office tasks, including making copies, preparing paperwork packets, and filing documents.
Create event materials such as name tags, table tents, and signage.
Occasionally staff event check-in tables as needed to welcome guests and provide a friendly, helpful presence
Other administrative support duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
