Schedule: | Hours: Flexible and part-time, with fewer hours during the academic term and the majority of hours available during winter/spring holiday breaks and summer months. Mainly weekdays, with occasional weekend hours available. During the school year, typical hours would be 4-6pm on weekdays, two or three days a week.

Position Summary/Job Duties: | Position: Providing transportation, fun outings, and in-home personal care for an autistic 15-yo with Down syndrome. Duties may include transportation and support for routine weekly appointments.
Trips to playgrounds, walks, shopping, or other activities, light meal prep and supervision for meals, leisure time, personal hygiene support, incontinence care, support for activities of daily living.
Support for AAC communication.
This could be a great fit for those with interests in speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, special education, nursing, pediatrics, disability studies, rehabilitation psychology, or related.
Paid training is provided.

Qualifications: | Must own a vehicle, have a good driving record, proof of insurance.
Prior work experience with children, and/or prior personal experience with children with disabilities.
BA or BS welcome but not required.
