My partner Charlie and I purchased the facility on Oct 01, 2025 and are looking to grow and to grow we need sales people passionate about sports. Local Madison knowledge is great, but we are also looking for people that want to grow and put in some work. This postion could grow to full time at some point and if you are succesful, roles could open up across the D1 spectrum.

Position Summary/Job Duties: | Please read below. We are looking for a few part-time employees that will be able to grow with us. We will be looking for ideas outside of the duties listed below. Social media knowledge, Canva experience are all bonuses. If you are willing to work and grow we could be a good fit for you. We will give you exposure to D1 corporate and their entrepreneurial journey as part of your training.
Key Vision for Sales Associate / Recruiter Position:
This position involves taking incoming calls, making outgoing calls, booking free trial workouts and consultations, and selling all D1 products and services. MUST BE COMFORTABLE IN A FAST-PACED SALES ENVIRONMENT. Recruiters are responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively, as well as maintaining facility hygiene. Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented person with a passion for sports/fitness. Sales experience, as well as experience with social media is a plus, but not mandatory. This opening is part-time. Must have work availability to work some mornings and evenings, as well as weekends.
Major Focuses:
Sales:
- Lead generation follow-up
- Responsible for generating revenue through sales of all D1 offerings including memberships, core training, personal training and team training
- Drive trials & offers
- Execute a variety of phone calls to athletes/leads
Marketing:
- Be a D1 Ambassador - attend outside events as well as go into the community to drive prospects, revenue and promote D1 to increase goodwill and market awareness
- Develop Community partnerships with Clubs, Teams, Schools, Businesses, Key leaders/influencers, Charities
- Aid and assist in creation of marketing materials, including flyers, emails, new letters, website, banners etc.
- Organize and help prepare materials for any upcoming onsite or offsite events.
Athlete Management:
- Client comes first
- Customer service and conflict resolution: Ability to resolve potential conflict and dealing directly with customers to provide a positive customer experience.
Operations:
- Be a Team Player – pitch in with cleaning and safety as outlined by general manager.
- Utilize daily and weekly check-lists
Special Skills/Competencies/Experience:
- Ability to close a sale
- Ability to overcome objections
- Marketing: Social Media Expert Platforms/ How-to use for marketing & client engagement; Ability to market the D1 product effectively in local markets
- Experience in direct sales and grassroots marketing
- Effective time management and follow-through skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all potential prospects, owners, GM, associates, coaches, athletes, parents, and community members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications, as well as point of sales systems (Mind Body a plus)
Accountability Measures:

- Growth of membership/training revenue through retention, providing exceptional customer service and local marketing initiatives
- Adherence to standard policies and procedures to safeguard the assets of the company.

Qualifications: | Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of sales experience (ideally fitness related) and grassroots marketing
- General experience in gym or training facility, familiarity with athletes and their needs, Athletic background preferred but not essential
- Highly energetic with a “can do” attitude, outgoing, friendly, Self-Starter, takes initiative
- Has D1 Core Values & servant attitude
- Can multi-task well, detail oriented, excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Excel
