Position Summary/Job Duties:

Social Media Manager (Instagram) – Part-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Social Media Manager to oversee and grow the Instagram presence of a physician-led aesthetic plastic surgery practice. This role focuses on creating professional, educational, and brand-aligned content under direct guidance from the surgeons, with an emphasis on consistency, quality, and audience engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a college student, medical student, or graduate student interested in healthcare, marketing, media, or entrepreneurship to gain hands-on experience working with a startup medical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and schedule Instagram posts, stories, and occasional reels

  • Adapt surgeon-provided ideas into polished, on-brand content (primarily using Canva)

  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule and visual aesthetic

  • Draft captions that are professional, educational, and patient-appropriate

  • Monitor basic analytics (engagement, reach, follower growth) and provide monthly summaries

  • Stay current on Instagram trends while maintaining a professional medical brand

  • Coordinate content calendars with the practice team

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in social media, branding, marketing, or healthcare

  • Experience with Instagram and content creation (personal or professional accounts acceptable)

  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design platforms (preferred)

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Professional judgment and attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare professionalism standards

  • Reliable, self-directed, and organized

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 5–10 hours per week

  • Flexible schedule with remote work

  • Longer-term commitment preferred (minimum 3–6 months)
