Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are two families with four elementary-school aged kiddos (two 11-year-olds, a 9-year-old and a 7 year-old) who will spend their mornings at a local pool (Hill Farm Swim Club). Mornings (through June and July) at the pool would include swim/dive lessons, swim team practice, and other pool activities, as well as general hanging out and engaging with kiddos. There is a large park across the street, and green space outside the pool. You would be their go-to person at the pool, including spending time with them in their downtime, helping with snacks or lunch, helping them get ready for afternoon activities, and keeping them on track as needed. Lunch and getting ready for afternoon activities could be at the pool or one of our homes (very near the pool).

Approximately half of the weeks, kids are registered for a camp in the afternoon, and you would transport them from the pool to afternoon camp. Afternoon camps are located on the near west sides and Fitchburg. These would be shorter days.

For the reamining weeks, you would hang out with kiddos in the afternoons at one of our houses, local parks, Wingra Boats, or other fun Madison summer spots!

Qualifications:

  • Interest and enthusiasm for spending time with children
  • Experience supporting kids through transitions
  • Comfort in the water and monitoring children in the water
  • Clean driving record (and drivers license)
