Position Summary/Job Duties: | Job Description/Primary Duties:
Do you love eating & talking about pastries, great bread and coffee? Are you a natural self-starter, a hustler, and an effective communicator? Do you love chatting with great customers and making people’s day? Do you enjoy working outside, rain or shine?
We are looking for 4 Part-Time, Seasonal team members to join our 2026 Farmer’s Market Team. This position runs from Sunday, May 17th through Sunday, November 1st. Candidates must submit their full Sunday availability for the entire season before hiring to ensure we are fully staffed - staff members are allowed to take a total of 4 Sundays off for the entire season.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Greets all customers warmly
- Makes strong connections with customers to ensure they have a positive experience
- Packages bakery items and works efficiently to help customers
- Early morning booth setup
- Merchandising baked goods beautifully
- Sampling and engaging with customers
- Handling transactions confidently
- Keeping the booth clean, stocked, and organized
- Representing Bloom Bake Shop with pride
- Any other duties as assigned
Competencies:
These team members must be hustlers with heart! They are naturally outgoing with high energy and strong stamina. They thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and can move the line efficiently while being warm & engaging. They are strong communicators who love encouraging customers to try new products. These team members love working outside in all of the elements! They are extremely responsible & self-governing – they naturally take initiative in setting up, engaging with the line, and taking pride in maintaining a beautiful booth set up.
Education and Experience:
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training or kitchen experience is preferred, but not required. Hardworking, honest, and ready to learn? We will train you!
- Legally able to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to stand on feet for entirety of shift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Able to drive our van
- Or your own vehicle if needed
