Position Summary/Job Duties:

We're an active family of five in Madison's Nakoma neighborhood and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented household assistant to help keep our home running smoothly. My wife and I both work (including occasional travel) and with three kids (ages 3 to 9) and we need some help keeping our house running smoothly. Core responsibilities include laundry, meal prep, and general household chores. We believe we need roughly 10 hours per week with flexibility built around your schedule and ours.

The ideal candidate is trustworthy, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a family home and willing to commit to at least 6 months (assuming agreed mutual fit). You don't need to be a professional chef or cleaning expert — just someone organized, capable, and genuinely invested in helping things run well. Hours are flexible and can be shaped around class schedules or other commitments, making this a great fit for a UW-Madison student looking for consistent part-time work. Reliable transportation to Nakoma is required (though we are on a bus line right from campus).

For the right person, there may also be opportunities for occasional early-evening childcare to support after-school activities — an optional add-on for those with child care experience and interest in extra hours. If you're looking for a flexible, friendly, and rewarding part-time role with a family that will value your help, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out with a brief introduction and any relevant experience.
