Department Overview:

We are a family of 4. One parent works full time and the other works part time.

Schedule:

Schedule will vary from week to week. 

Proposed typical schedule from May 12th through June 4th:  Mondays 12:30 pm to 5 pm, Wednesdays 12:30 am to 5 pm, Thursdays 12:30 am to 5pm, Fridays 12:30 pm to 5pm.

Proposed typical schedule from June 5th through September 1st:  Mondays 8:30 to 4:30 pm, Wednesdays 12:15 pm to 5 pm, Thursdays 12:15 or 10:30am to 5pm, Fridays 11am to 5pm.

We anticipate being gone for vacation for a week in late August.

 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $22.00 to $22.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We’re looking for an outgoing, responsible, part-time summer nanny to look after our 5 and 8 year-old daughters. We'd like someone who can work between 20 and 25 hours most weeks this summer. Both girls will be in a variety of summer camps, so we are looking for someone with a flexible schedule that can vary from week to week. We’d prefer a candidate who is an experienced driver who would be comfortable transporting our girls to and from activities in our vehicle. 

We live on the near-West side of Madison on Virginia Terrace, about a 10 minute bike ride from the UW campus, and walking distance from the D, E and J bus lines.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hanging out with kids. The girls enjoy arts & crafts, imaginative play, books, music, and trips to the neighborhood playgrounds, the pool, and libraries.

Qualifications:

Previous experience caring for children is required. 

A valid drivers license and experience driving is prefered. (No need to own a vehicle)

Strong communication skills are required.

 

Physical Demands

Keeping up with a 5 year old and an 8 year old.
