Schedule:

Flexible schedule, set your own hours. Our busiest times are weekdays 4:00-9:00.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Make a difference working one-on-one with students in grades 6–12 to help them build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Ideal candidates enjoy working with young people and have previous experience in mentorship or leadership roles. This could include serving as a camp counselor, team captain, scout leader, swim instructor, or similar position. Strong proficiency in high school math is required, as it is our most requested subject. We also welcome applicants with knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, Spanish, French, or multiple subject areas.

The Prep Center is conveniently located near Colectivo on Monroe Street, just a short bus ride from campus and off the Southwest Bike Path. Paid training begins in August, with tutoring starting in September. Tutors must be available for the full academic year: September 1, 2026 – June 5, 2027.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth (in any setting)
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong academic background
