Position Summary/Job Duties:

Pastry Kitchen Partner

Supporting the people who create something beautiful every day.

Bloom is growing.

As our pastry program continues to expand, we're looking to add one or more Pastry Kitchen Partners to our team.

This role is perfect for someone who simply loves being in a kitchen. Maybe you're the person who's always asking, "What can I do to help?" You're happiest when you're staying busy, keeping things organized, and making life easier for the people around you.

You'll work alongside our talented pastry chefs, helping prepare for the next day's production while keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and ready for whatever comes next.

You'll have a front-row seat to the craftsmanship behind Bloom's pastry kitchen, watching beautiful pastries come to life while playing an essential role in making them possible.

This isn't a role where you're expected to make the pastries. It's a role where you help create the environment that allows great pastry to happen. Every butter block you prepare, every pastry pull you organize, every dish you wash, and every station you reset gives our pastry team more time to do what they do best—creating beautiful pastries our guests will enjoy the next morning.

If you find joy in supporting others, appreciate a well-run kitchen, and take pride in doing the little things exceptionally well, we'd love to meet you.

An Afternoon in the Life

Your shift begins as the morning bake winds down and the pastry kitchen shifts its focus to preparing for the next day. Throughout the afternoon, you'll help create the rhythm that keeps our pastry kitchen running smoothly and ensures our team is set up for success.

Along the way, you'll help by:

  • Preparing butter blocks for upcoming production.
  • Supporting pastry pulls and organizing ingredients for the following day's work.
  • Washing dishes and keeping equipment clean and ready for use.
  • Restocking ingredients and supplies throughout the kitchen.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed.
  • Helping create an environment where our pastry chefs can focus on creativity, craftsmanship, and quality.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Love being in a kitchen, even if you're not the one creating the final product.
  • Are you the kind of person who's always asking, "How can I help?"
  • Find satisfaction in supporting others and helping a team succeed.
  • Take pride in keeping things clean, organized, and ready for the next task.
  • Like staying active and moving throughout your shift.
  • Appreciate craftsmanship and enjoy seeing beautiful food come to life.
  • Notice the little details that help a kitchen run smoothly.
  • Are dependable, positive, and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Can comfortably move and lift bakery trays, buckets, and boxes.
  • Can lift 50 lbs.—we're a bakery, and strong team members make a big difference!

Schedule

Monday–Saturday
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

We're hiring for this afternoon schedule and are open to building the team with one person or multiple part-time team members, depending on availability and fit. Must be able to work at least 2 shifts per week.

Why Bloom?

For over sixteen years, Bloom has been a place where craftsmanship, hospitality, and community come together.

We're proud of the food we make, the people we work alongside, and the experience we create for our guests every day.

Whether you're looking for a few meaningful hours each afternoon or hoping to become part of a team that genuinely enjoys working together, you'll find purpose in this role. Every shift helps prepare our pastry kitchen for another beautiful day at Bloom.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for people who enjoy meaningful work, value teamwork, and understand that even behind-the-scenes roles have a lasting impact on what we create.

If this sounds like you, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
