Every morning at Bloom begins long before our doors open.
While most of Madison is still asleep, our Specialty Dessert Team is already hard at work, filling the pastry case with cakes, doughnuts, cookies, bars, scones, biscuits, and specialty desserts that become part of birthdays, celebrations, coffee breaks, and everyday moments of joy.
We're looking for an Early Morning Specialty Dessert Baker to join this talented team.
This role is perfect for someone who loves the quiet rhythm of early mornings and finds joy in creating beautiful things by hand. You'll work alongside a group of passionate pastry professionals, baking and finishing the desserts our guests look forward to each day.
Your craftsmanship brings Bloom's pastry case to life each morning. From specialty cakes and doughnuts to cookies, bars, scones, biscuits, and allergen-friendly desserts, you'll create products that reflect the care, consistency, and quality Bloom is known for.
Every morning offers the opportunity to begin with great ingredients, careful technique, and the satisfaction of knowing your work will become part of someone's celebration, coffee break, or favorite tradition.

A Morning in the Life
Your day begins before sunrise, when the bakery is quiet and the ovens are just beginning to warm. Working alongside our Specialty Dessert Team, you'll bake and finish the desserts that fill Bloom's pastry case each morning.
Along the way, you'll:
- Bake specialty cakes.
- Bake signature doughnuts.
- Bake cookies, bars, scones, biscuits, and seasonal desserts.
- Prepare allergen-friendly desserts with care and attention to detail.
- Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor ovens and baking times to produce exceptional results.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and ready for the day's production.
- Help create a pastry case that is as beautiful as it is delicious.
