Position Summary/Job Duties:

Looking for someone to work in-person with my 9 year old daughter for 90 minutes on Saturdays during the academic year. Location is flexible. We can meet on campus or anywhere between campus and our home on Madison's west side. Pay is $50 per session. She has basic German skills and we are looking for someone to practice with her. We can supply a text book but are looking for a mix of textbook learning and applied speaking/listening (i.e., games, watching and breaking down video clips and songs, conversing, etc). It's ok if your German isn't perfect: she is just starting out and is excited to work with someone who will help her practice.

Start date is negotiable within the next few weeks. Virtual is not an option as we would prefer in-person tutoring. For any vacations we would ideally reschedule for another time that week but occasional scheduled weeks off are totally fine. Email eafoste@gmail with any questions or concerns.

Qualifications:

Must have at least basic knowledge of German language. Must like working with kids, and be enthusiastic about teaching German. Must be able to pass a background check. Access to a car is not necessary- we are happy to meet you in a convenient location (library, coffee shop, etc).

Physical Demands

Sitting for up to 90 minutes

Application Instructions:

To apply, please email Elizabeth at eafoste@gmail.com including your reaume and a few sentences each about your German language background and your experience tutoring/working with kids.
