From the folks behind Bloom Bake Shop and Restaurant Lallande comes Waltzing Matilda’s, a new neighborhood spot shaped by a love of food, travel, and gathering around the table.
HOURS OF OPERATION :: Tuesday through Sunday, 8am to 3pm.
Matilda’s comes alive in the mornings and rolls right through lunch. Coffee pouring, breakfast hitting the tables, a busy dining room, and plenty of good energy. We’re looking for people who love the rhythm of a bustling neighborhood restaurant and want to be part of building something new from the very beginning.
In December, Matilda’s will expand into the evenings as a neighborhood wine bar, with cocktails, beer, wine, and small plates.
Must be able to commit to at least 16 hours/week (note: we are closed Mondays).

We’re looking for baristas and cashiers who love great coffee, genuine hospitality, and the energy of a busy neighborhood restaurant.
You’ll be part of the first hello our guests receive, whether you’re making their morning coffee, helping them choose something delicious, or simply remembering their name the next time they walk through the door.
Your role may include:
- Preparing espresso, coffee, and other beverages
- Welcoming guests and taking orders
- Learning our food, pastry, coffee, and beverage menus
- Answering questions and making thoughtful recommendations
- Keeping the counter and coffee bar stocked, clean, and inviting
- Working efficiently during busy service
- Getting to know our regulars
- Jumping in wherever the team needs a hand
Experience is wonderful, but warmth, curiosity, dependability, and a genuine desire to take care of people matter just as much.
Pay: $17 to $25/hour, based on experience.
