Position Summary/Job Duties:
We have a second-grader who’s very interested in art and craft. We are looking for a one-on-one art teacher to help her build some skills in art. The teacher will come to our house weekly to do art activities with her for an hour. In these guided activities, the teacher will help build her observation skills, experiment with different art media, expose her to diverse art styles, and introduce her to some basic concepts in art. Art activity books and materials will be provided.
The ideal candidate would be someone patient with kids and fun to work with, preferably someone with a background in fine art, design, or art education.
Hours: Every Tuesday afternoon from 4:30-5:30
Location: 8 min Bus D ride from UW-Madison on the west side. 25 min walking distance.
Rate: $15-20 per hour, depending on qualifications.
